“On Saturday our power tripped, and when switching it back on we noticed an awful smell coming from our airing cupboard. In a panic that it might be the start of an electrical fire, we switched the heating system off immediately and called up Ben. He was extremely honest about prices, and suggested we kept the heating system off until Monday where his fees are cheaper.

When he came over, he waited with us to see if there was an issue with the heating system. When the fuse blew (making us all jump out of our skin!), he helped us find a new programmer online (as it was over 20 years old and we wanted to eliminate that as an issue) and said to call him once it arrived so he could install it. Ben also took the time to check out our hot water storage tank, and found fault in our immersion heater. He then recommended a plumber and wrote notes down for us to discuss with them from what he had found.
